The Rolling Egg Therapy

The Rolling Egg Therapy: an Effective Drug-free Remedy for Minor Health Issues

Cold, sore throat, skin rashes, and diarrhea are common minor health issues that bother people from time to time. They may not be big problems but are troublesome nonetheless. People tend not to take medicine and let the immune system fight back these minor sicknesses naturally. Yet the recovery process can be exhausting and annoying. So, is there a way to effectively improve these conditions without relying on drugs?

The Rolling Egg Therapy

As its name suggests, rolling egg therapy is to roll a shelled, boiled egg on the area of discomfort for relief. For example, if you have diarrhea, roll the egg on your belly to improve digestion, and if your eyes are tired, roll the egg on your eyes to relieve stress. Some even find it effective in reducing dark circles. Sounds easy, right? Indeed, it is relatively effortless and effective.

How Does Rolling Egg Therapy Work?

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) values yin yang balance, and it believes there is a yin yang balance within every living creature. When the yin and yang energy is in equilibrium, the system, such as the human body, will stay healthy and strong.

An egg itself is a perfect symbolism of yin yang balance. The egg white is yang, and the yolk is yin. They form a tiny universe of yin and yang, which is why an egg can give birth to a new life. When your body energy is imbalanced, rolling an egg can relieve symptoms and bring back the balance in your body.

How to Apply the Rolling Egg Therapy?

1. Prepare some eggs. The eggs may get squashed during the process, so you should prepare some extra.
2. Boil the eggs. Make sure the water covers all the eggs. Boil for three minutes. Then, keep boiling for 15 minutes on small heat.
3. Now, please turn off the stove and leave the egg in the water for one minute before taking them out.
4. Peel the egg. Try not to scratch off any egg white and keep the surface as smooth as possible.
5. Roll the egg on the area of discomfort for 10 minutes. Make sure the egg is not too hot to prevent burns.
6. Throw the egg away or bury it in your garden. Remember not to eat the used eggs as they have absorbed the imbalanced energy.

A Few Notes

1.The egg works better when warm. If the egg cools down during the therapy, you can put it back into hot water for a while to warm it up. Do NOT use a microwave!
2.Avoid wounds. Using the egg on cuts, burns, or abrasions may cause unexpected consequences.
3.Apply the therapy once or twice per day. If the symptoms do not improve in three days, you should see a doctor because the condition is not as mild as you think.
4.If you have a cold or diarrhea, you can boil the egg with ginger, and the egg will work more effectively.

The next time you have these minor conditions, you know you do not need medications. All you need is just some boiled eggs!
